We’re back with a November issue 2020 – and how we have missed you!

We’re sorry that we couldn’t be there for you from April to October but, for very obvious reasons, we couldn’t risk our volunteers – or your – safety!  In March, before the Government announced lockdown, the Life committee took the decision that we couldn’t ask our volunteers to risk their health (most are in the “Shielded” category so would be asked to stay indoors).

There was also a risk of passing on coronavirus by fomite transmission – that’s picking the disease up from a surface – now, we know that risk is small, all of our deliverers are using hand sanitisers every few houses but, let’s be doubly careful: when you have finished reading the paper, I would still ask you all to PLEASE wash your hands.

We might not have enough deliverers to get the paper out to every household but extra copies will be left in shops, surgeries, libraries and Civic centres, so, could you please let people know this – just in case they haven’t got a copy through their letterbox?

We hope you and your families are all safe and well and send condolences to those who have lost loved ones.

We also want to thank you all for your patience and understanding; readers, advertisers, patrons, printer and all our wonderful deliverers and other volunteers,

Thank you, stay safe…

Please keep in touch via facebook or email: [email protected] and take very great care of yourself and your families.
