The “Life” has a strict policy concerning the amount of space given to advertising: we have a ratio of 2:1 – community news: adverts.
Advertising space is sold in units – the smallest space available is a half of a unit, the largest space available to companies is two units.
Sizes are as follows:
Half unit: 60mm x 21mm
One unit: 60mm x 43mm
One and a half units: 60mm x 65mm
Two units (Vertical): 60mm x 90mm
Two units (Horizontal): 123mm x 43mm
If you are not sure what size you need for your advert, please call either the Advertising Manager on 0116 289 1771 or the Editor on 0116 299 2192 who will be happy to help.
If you have artwork then you can email your advert to us; please try to ensure that it is in one of the following formats and set to around 300dpi for best results.

If you can’t send your advert in one of these formats, don’t worry! You can mail your ad to the Advertising Manager, contact the Editor or send in a diagram of what you would like your ad to look like and we’ll try to make it happen.
